Base Malt and

High-Quality Hops

Base Malt

Schuema Malzfabrik

We currently stock Schuema Base Malts here in the USA.

Why Schuema? Simply put they are a heritage family malthouse (currently on their 6th generation) serving German breweries since 1823.

Why haven’t you seen them in the USA before? Simply because the US market for German malt has been dominated by a partnership BSG with Weyermann and Country Malts with Bestmalz and Durst. Absolutely great malts but just two malt houses out of the 40+ other maltsters in Germany that don’t have a US partner.

Superb Quality without the contracts

Bamberger Mälzerei Pilsner and Munich Malts will be available in August

Mälzerei Steinbach Karamelmalz Pils and Karamelmalz Hell will also be available in August

Looking for another Maltster?

If you have a specific German malt in mind but don’t know how to get it here, we can help. There are more than a dozen maltsters in Germany that would love to get here in the US. We can assist you if you have a specific maltster in mind.

Just inquire on our Contact page and we’ll get started.

Quality Hops

We have a variety of Hops that are personally selected each year. We have the relationships with the farmers to select from the same lots that the heritage German breweries are. We are not offering the “leftovers” because your small to medium brewery didn’t sign a massive contract.

Go to the Lupulin Exchange to see what we have in stock.

To brew like the Germans, you have to use the ingredients that they use. .
